-ISH

At first sight this range of furniture and tableware looks like stone, but it is in fact made from composite materials comprising recycled denim, cotton and paper.

Matteo Fogale and Laetitia de Allegri are joining forces for the first time with -ISH, a show exploring the perception of materials and their properties. A collection of pieces emphasising the illusion and beauty of stone-like materials entirely made from recycled and reclaimed post-industrial waste. The exhibition will showcase the result of this new collaboration expressing the common interest in sustainable sources and new aesthetics on design.

"Recycled materials often look like a 'secondary choice' and not premium enough, "We both love stone and the look of it but we find the weight and fragility a bit constraining for what you can do with it."
